What is Compact HPL?

Compact HPL is the trade name for kraft paper, which is characterized by its extreme hardness, so it is resistant to shocks, in addition to its resistance to fire and water. It is also characterized by being resistant to bacteria and scratches. All of these features make it very safe for use in the manufacture of bathroom partitions, bathroom dividers, and uses with high humidity, in addition to its use For the manufacture of table tops, tables, office furniture and others.

Compact HPL manufacturing

The word HPL means high pressure lamination in English, and it is an abbreviation for High Pressure Laminate, which is the process to which compact HPL is exposed during the manufacturing process. The manufacturing process is carried out by coating the layers of kraft paper on both sides with Phenolic, an environmentally friendly material that resists acids, alkalis, fire, moisture and collisions. Then, a layer of laminate is added to the layers of kraft at the top and bottom, which is characterized by being scratch-resistant and easy to clean. The pressing process is carried out under pressure at 1430 PSI and temperatures of 150 degrees Celsius. Compact HPL panels can be manufactured in an infinite number of different colors and thicknesses, starting from 1.5mm up to 30mm.
